Money-Saving Beauty Hacks: 7 Ways to Get the Most Out of Your Beauty Products
You spend a lot of money on beauty products, right? Instead, why not spend a little time discovering how you can get the most out of these beauty products?
What if your products could last longer and/or be repurposed? You’d save money in the long run and you’d also earn yourself the right to splurge once in awhile! 😉
7 Ways to Get the Most Out of Your Beauty Products
Use What Yo Momma Gave You!
Your hands, that is! Whenever possible, use your hands to apply beauty products. Don’t let your precious beauty products go to waste on sponges and applicators.
Get Your Spritz On!
If your face toner bottle comes with a pump nozzle, try transferring it into a spray bottle. The spray nozzle will dispense a fine mist, avoiding any waste. You’ll get more uses out of it and your product will last longer!
Scrape and Save!
Now it’s time you get crafty! If you’ve come down to the last little bit of skincare in your tube, pull out your scissors (seriously!) and cut the crimped end of the packaging. Scrape every last bit of product into a small jar. You’ll be amazed how much you can get out of the tube still!
Piece it Together!
Shattered your favorite shadow? Don’t fret! Simply add a few drops of rubbing alcohol and press the pieces back together into the pot. The powder will set in a few minutes. You’ll save yourself the tears and the money!
Get the Scoop!
If you’re struggling to apply your lipstick because you’re down to the bottom of the tube, simply get a lip spatula or lip brush and scoop the lipstick out. Surprisingly, about ¼ of the lipstick remains inside the tube, even though you’re not physically able to glide it directly onto your lips from the stick itself.
Repurpose and Reuse!
Have an old bronzer that’s just too dark or not quite the right shade for your face? Mix some of it into your favorite moisturizer to create a pretty shimmery lotion that you can apply onto your arms and legs!
Stay Thin!
Have some leftover liquid foundation that’s just too thick to come out of the bottle? Add some jojoba oil to thin it out and loosen it so you can use up every last drop.
Ok, babes, now it’s your turn! What other money-saving beauty hacks do you have to share? Come on, spill the beans!
